About the Author:

Elena Ferrante is the author of several highly praised novels, including The Days of Abandonment (2005), Troubling Love (2006), and The Lost Daughter (2008). She is best known for the Neapolitan Quartet, which includes My Brilliant Friend, The Story of a New Name, Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay, and The Story of the Lost Child (2012–2015). The first book of the series, My Brilliant Friend, was adapted into an HBO series, while The Lost Daughter was made into a film directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal and starring Olivia Colman. Ferrante’s most recent work is The Lying Life of Adults (2020), and she has also published a collection of essays, In the Margins (2022).

Her work has been translated into multiple languages by Ann Goldstein, a renowned translator known for bringing the depth of Italian literature to English-speaking readers.
