What is die cutting? Die cutting is a method for quickly producing shapes from paper, foil, cardstock, foam, crepe paper, or stencil film using a machine and die, rather than cutting by hand. While a die-cutting machine is necessary, the die itself cuts the material with the machine applying pressure.

How to use a Thinlits die: Start by placing one cutting pad on your Big Shot Machine and position your chosen material on top. Place the Thinlits die with the cutting lines facing down onto the material, then cover it with a second cutting pad. Roll it through your machine to reveal the design. Note: An Adapter Platform is required for using Thinlits dies with Sizzix Big Shot machines, and it is included with your Big Shot purchase.

Additional Tips: Thinlits dies can also emboss your paper when used with the Sizzix emboss and transfer set (662111), adding versatility to your crafting.
