About the Author:
Born on January 19, 1809, Edgar Allan Poe is renowned for his mysterious and macabre writing style. He is also credited with originating the detective-fiction genre and is an influential figure in the American Romantic Movement. Poe's work as a poet, short story writer, and Gothic novelist has earned him widespread recognition, and he passed away in 1849.

A. J. Odasso:
A.J. Odasso is a poet whose work has been featured in numerous publications such as Sybil’s Garage, Mythic Delirium, Midnight Echo, and Strange Horizons. Her debut poetry collection Lost Books was nominated for the 2010 London New Poetry Award and was a finalist for the 2010–11 People’s Book Prize. A.J.’s subsequent collections include The Dishonesty of Dreams (2014) and Things Being What They Are, which was shortlisted for the 2017 Sexton Prize. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Boston University and works at the University of New Mexico. A.J. has also served in the Poetry Department at Strange Horizons since 2012 and lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
